At Annual Meeting, MMS President Outlines Principles for Payment Reform

At the Massachusetts Medical Society’s 2012 Annual Meeting, MMS President Lynda Young outlines the Society’s advocacy principles for pending payment reform legislation.

  1. A. David Simkin, M.D. says:

    An excellent presentation.
I wonder, however, if you know how many physicians will retire/move from Massachusetts if fee for service is no longer allowed. I have been in private practice in Ma. for 32 years and have 93,000+ patients. I am 63 years old. And I will close down the practice if Governor Duval Patrick’s plan becomes reality. I wrote to him but received no reply.
Your thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I rejoined the MMS last year, and am inspired by your behavior to renew my membership.
